Live, Laugh, Love and Laundry!!!

Shameless Selfie This week I want to share an amazing Toastmasters event with you and then my very boring Sunday at home. Live, every moment. Laugh, often. Love, thy neighbor. Laundry, it just needs to be done. Tuire Vuolasvirta - Keynote Speaker I had a fantastic weekend at the Toastmasters Division F District 95 Contest in Bensheim, Germany. The Humorous speeches were funny and the Table Topics were entertaining.  If you have never been to a Toastmasters meeting, a Table Topic is a one to two minute impromptu speech and you have no advance notice of the question or topic. Anything goes and no topic is too obscure.  Tuire Vuolasvirta, the District 95 immediate past Director, who came all the way from Finland for the weekend. was the English Table Topics Chair.  Her question was "When is the right time?"  A really thought provoking question with a lot of different answers from the five contestants. We are all Connected

After spending a wonderful weekend two weeks ago at the #LIGHTTT Conference for Toastmasters District #95 in Timisoara, Romania. I have found myself reconnected to many old friends.  I also met many new Toastmasters at the conference and continue to expand my network on social media.  As I make new connections I am amazed at how these connections know not only other Toastmasters, but other people in my life.  It is amazing how someone you meet in Romania, lives in Hungary, but met someone at a business conference in the United States that you know as well.  As my journey through life continues to take me on travels around the world and I am constantly impressed and amazed at how connected the people are in this world.  The world is filled with so many people and I am very fortunate to be able to meet so many people from diverse backgrounds.  One thing that strikes me though, is that many people feel isolated even when in a room full of people.  I t...
